Masala Factory Bay Leaf’s are sourced from local suppliers, and are produced from the Bay laurel bush, also known as the California Bay leaf. Bay Leaves begin their life as a bush, not so different to other bushes, in that, they will have no differentiating characteristics from a normal run-of-the-mill bush. Only after picking and drying the bay leaf are, we able to extract the fragrance and flavour upon reconstitution which has been locked in to the leaf and allowed to develop.
